Springtime at Handsome Biscuit

It’s officially spring and for many people here in Norfolk, VA are ready for the pleasantly mild weather that is about to hit us. this time of year is a short-lived one when it’s not too hot and not too cold. One way that dental implant provider Dr. Foleck and the rest of his staff her at The Foleck Center like to celebrate this wonderful time of year is by visiting our favorite biscuit shop.

Now, you might be wondering what biscuit have to do with spring, or why we like to visit a biscuit shop in the spring time. The answer is that we really don’t have one. It has just become a tradition with us. that being said we decided today we would take a momentary break from our normally dental themed blogs and tell you a little about our favorite place to get a good biscuit.

Celebrate Spring with Handsome Biscuit

If you have lived in Virginia for any amount of time you should know that we love our biscuits here. Biscuits and gravy is a classic home cooked country food and we all know that our grandmothers or mamas make them best. However, there is one place right here in Norfolk, VA that might actually give your family’s secret recipe for biscuits a run for their money.

Aside from the above-mentioned facts, there is one other thing we like to do here as an office and that is find small, locally owned businesses that are managing to hold their own in a world dominated by corporate giants. We then like to support those small businesses with our patronage. One thing that is great about doing this is the fact that often times the products you get from small businesses are made with better quality and more pride than the ones you receive from large chains. This is especially true when it comes to eating establishments and Handsome Biscuit is no exception to this rule.

The food you receive here is literally like tasting the American dream. Handsome Biscuit is a small shop that only has twelve seats on the inside and twenty-four on the outside patio section. However, despite all this, Handsome Biscuit serves a large volume of people who flood in daily to try their amazing food, all while managing to maintain a small batch cooking method. It’s incredible, it’s made with love, and these biscuit sandwiches will change your life. You’ve just got to try them for yourself.
